The Savage Hearts are a twin fiddle driven bluegrass meets honky tonk band founded by original “Jeff Scroggins and Colorado” fiddler, Annie Savage. Audiences can expect a highly entertaining stage show with drill-it-to-the-wall three part female harmonies and bombastic instrumentals. This southwestern bluegrass band also specializes in stage banter that could bring a tear to a glass eye (from crying or laughing to both at the same time) and has a passion for providing educational outreach.

Special guests have included Becky Buller, Ellie Hakanson, Greg Blake, Jeff Scroggins and a rotating cast of twin fiddlers.

Recent performances include: 2017 IBMA Showcase and Band Ramble, 2017 Durango Meltdown, 2011-2017 Kaufman Kamp, 2017-18 MidWinter Bluegrass Festival and the International Folk Alliance conference in addition to presentations at the American String Teacher’s Association and various state and national level music education conferences.

The Savage Hearts are:

Annie Savage (voice, lead fiddle)
Tracy Lynn (voice, guitar)
Jodi Harbin (voice, bass)
Kevin Slick (guitar, banjo)
Jackson Earles (twin fiddle)

We can offer anywhere from a 2-6 piece band for your event. We work with directly with you to provide the perfect combination of high energy stage performances with engaging workshops.

“You just nailed it! That’s how it should be done!”
KEN SEAMAN (MIDWINTER BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL)

“Just consider Annie Savage something of a fiddle expert.”
NO DEPRESSION

“Thank you so much for your excellent performance! You and your bandmates, especially those strong bluegrass women and your wild and crazy young fiddler really shined!”
LUCY SMITH (CBA SUITE MANAGER AT IBMA)

The Savage Hearts are honored to showcase at this year’s IBMA Bluegrass Ramble and look forward to bringing their spicy blend of Southwestern Bluegrass to your festival and workshop stage.
